Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I was diagnosed with multiple fibroids, the largest measuring 8.76 cm by 7.60 cm. I have been using Kanchar Gugul and Ashokarishta for almost two months; however, I still feel the mass in my abdomen when I touch it. Please, I need your help. I have never given birth yet.
Please help me.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
Thank you for sharing your situation. Here is some guidance based on what you have described:
Understanding fibroids
Fibroids are benign (non-cancerous) growths in the uterus.
The size you mentioned (8.76 x 7.60 cm) is quite large and can be felt as a mass in your lower abdomen.
Fibroids do not usually disappear quickly with herbal or homeopathic remedies alone, especially if they are large.
Feeling the mass in your abdomen is expected with fibroids of this size.
About Kanchar Gugul and Ashokarishta
These are Ayurvedic preparations often used to support uterine health and reduce symptoms.
They may help reduce symptoms like heavy bleeding and pain, but they may not significantly shrink large fibroids in just two months.
Herbal treatments usually require a longer duration and consistent follow-up.
Important considerations:
Monitoring fibroid size: Regular ultrasound scans (every three to six months) are important to track fibroid size and any changes.
Symptoms to watch: If you experience heavy menstrual bleeding, anemia (fatigue, dizziness), severe pelvic pain, or pressure symptoms on bladder or bowel, you should seek further medical evaluation.
Fertility and pregnancy: Fibroids can sometimes affect fertility or pregnancy outcomes depending on their size and location. Discuss your desire to conceive with your healthcare provider for personalized advice.
Medical or surgical options: For large fibroids, treatments can include medications, uterine artery embolization, or surgery (myomectomy or hysterectomy), especially if symptoms persist or worsen.
What you should do now:
Continue your current treatment, but plan a follow-up ultrasound in three months to assess any changes.
Discuss with a gynecologist about fertility planning and whether any further intervention is recommended.
Maintain a healthy lifestyle: balanced diet, moderate exercise, and avoid excess stress.
I hope this answer helps you.
Thank you.
