Medical Conditions - External Hemorrhoids

When one or more painful lumps appear beneath the skin around the anus, this is referred to as external hemorrhoids. These are caused due to dilation of the blood vessels, which have swollen, enlarged, and protruded. Blood inside the protruded blood vessel may clot or thrombose and forms a hard lump around the anus, creating excruciating pain. Hemorrhoids may be caused by straining to poo, sitting on the toilet for a longer duration, pregnancy, obesity, and lifting heavy weights.
