Can diet, exercise, and sleep help with erectile issues?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 30-year-old male. It has been 2 years since I got married. Everything was good, but for the past two months, I have been facing an issue where my penis is not getting fully erect during sexual intercourse. Sometimes, it becomes firm, but as soon as I prepare for sex, it becomes loose again. However, I do not face this problem during masturbation as I can ejaculate normally. I have no prior medical conditions. This issue is very embarrassing for me, especially now that my partner and I are planning for a baby. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions to cure this problem.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concerns. The medicines mentioned in your prescription are suitable for you, so please take them as your physician advises. In addition to that, follow these recommendations, as it may take some time for your recovery:

  1. Take capsule Shilajit Rasayan (ashwagandha, bhoomi amla, harad, baheda, amla, and aqueous extract of shilajeetshudha), one capsule twice a day with water for two weeks.
  2. Improve your diet; it plays a significant role. Incorporate nuts like walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and almonds into your meals. Consume more fresh fruits and vegetables.
  3. Avoid excessive consumption of tea, coffee, and caffeinated drinks.
  4. Aim to walk daily for 30 to 60 minutes; it will improve your pelvic blood flow and help in enhancing your condition.
  5. Ensure you get adequate sleep, at least six to eight hours per day.
  6. Avoid excessive stress, as it is not beneficial for you.

Try to follow these recommendations regularly, and you should soon experience positive results.

Thanks and regards.

Regarding follow up

Follow-up is to be done after two weeks.
