Diet For Typhoid

Salmonella typhi causes typhoid fever. Dietary changes during typhoid can help reduce the severity of the symptoms. The diet should be minimal in fibers, raw vegetables, berries, legumes, seeds, spicy, and fatty food as they are hard to digest, and hence digestive load must be reduced. Drinking plenty of water is advised. Food should be cooked well. Foods that can be taken are potatoes, beans, carrots, beetroots, banana, seedless fruits, white rice, bread, chicken, egg, fish, low-fat milk, curd, etc.
