Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My 11-year-old child has been suffering from pompholyx eczema on his hands for the past three years. He experiences significant itching, pain, and blisters. A biopsy indicated spongiotic dermatitis. We have tried allopathic, homeopathic, and Ayurvedic medicines, and he is currently on Prednisolone and multivitamin supplements, but there has been no relief. Is this condition curable? Can you recommend any additional treatments or medications?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I just read your query.
Please attach a picture of the rashes if possible, and also include the prescription for the previously taken Ayurvedic medicines. Ayurveda can help with all kinds of dermatitis, but please keep in mind that progress may be slow, so it is important to follow the treatment regularly for a specific period. While taking Ayurvedic medicines, avoid using Prednisolone tablets. If you are currently taking Prednisolone, please let me know if there has been any relief.
Does he have any other symptoms such as itching, burning sensation, loss of appetite, constipation, worm infestation, or indigestion?
Do not panic. We will take all necessary measures to address this condition as soon as possible. Use herbal-based or medicated soaps and avoid soaps that dry out the skin. Include vitamin C, vitamin A, and zinc in his diet, and avoid oily and spicy foods. Instead, provide more leafy greens, spinach, broccoli, and citrus fruits. While taking milk, avoid fish, though you can give fish in moderation. Also, avoid junk food, potato chips, and other unhealthy snacks.
I recommend the following medications for 45 days, with regular follow-ups:
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.

Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the advice.
He experiences a lot of itching and a burning sensation. He uses a soft medicated soap as advised by the doctor. Unfortunately, I misplaced the Ayurvedic prescription, so I do not have it. He does not eat fish or meat. The attached pictures include recent ones, with the blisters shown being from older instances. Please suggest any medication that might provide instant relief, as the child is very young and cries due to the pain. We are using coconut oil and castor oil, along with cold compresses, to ease the discomfort, but this only provides limited relief. Also, will the medicines you recommended be available in my area?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
The medicines I have suggested are particularly effective for this condition, so please purchase them as soon as possible. They should be available at any Ayurvedic pharmacy in your area, but the Vetpalai thailam may only be available online. You can inquire at the pharmacy for further information. If you cannot find Vetpalai thailam, you can consider using one of the following alternatives:
These alternatives can be used for massage. Apply one of these oils all over the body daily.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
