Cracked Sole

Cracked soles are also known as heel fissures. It appears as thickened skin with yellow callus formed on the heel edges. The common causes of cracked soles are obesity, diabetes, eczema, hypothyroidism, Sjogren's syndrome, athlete's foot, and prolonged standing. It often occurs due to dry skin. Applying cream or lotion helps to moisturize the skin on the soles of the feet.
