If you have a cough with white or greenish sputum, you can take syrup Koflet (Liquorice Root, Holy Basil, Honey), two teaspoons three times a day with lukewarm water.

If you have only a dry cough or allergic cough, you can take syrup Jufex Forte (Amla, Pippali, Ginger, Vasaka) from Aimil Pharma, two teaspoons three times a day with lukewarm water.

Avoid ice cream, cold drinks, rice, curd, and other cold food items. Always drink lukewarm water. A home remedy is to prepare a decoction by mixing five tulsi leaves, 0.11 ounces of dry ginger powder, and a few black peppers in a glass of water, and boil it until it reduces to half. Take this decoction twice daily. Also, keep a piece of licorice in your mouth.
