Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from chondromalacia patella grade 2 for the last four months. I got sudden knee pain in both my knees four months ago. An MRI was done for both knees this month. Currently, I am taking Glucosamine and multivitamins tablets. I want to know whether I can walk, run, play, climb steps, and trek like before.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

Chondromalacia of the patella is softening and breaking down of the tissue which is on the underside of the patella or the knee cap. Yes, it can not be cured completely, But it can be well managed with ayurvedic treatment to avoid further complications and ease your pain. There are certain protocols to follow. You have to meet your nearest ayurvedic doctor and take panchakarma therapy. Internal medicines also help in controlling further damage to the tissue, so long-term treatment is essential in ensuring healthy repair so that further complications are not expected in the future. You have to reduce your weight. Please adopt the exercises which you can do without difficulty.

Thank you.
