Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been suffering from chondromalacia patella grade 2 for the last four months. I got sudden knee pain in both my knees four months ago. An MRI was done for both knees this month. Currently, I am taking Glucosamine and multivitamin tablets. I want to know whether I can walk, run, play, climb steps, and trek like before. Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
Chondromalacia of the patella is the softening and breaking down of the tissue which is on the underside of the patella or the knee cap. Yes, it can not be cured completely, but it can be well managed with ayurvedic treatment to avoid further complications and ease your pain. There are certain protocols to follow. You have to meet your nearest Ayurvedic doctor and take panchakarma therapy. Internal medicines also help control further damage to the tissue, so long-term treatment is essential to ensure healthy repair so that further complications are not expected in the future. You have to reduce your weight. Please adopt the exercises which you can do without difficulty.
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
