Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 58-year-old male. I had passed hard stool two weeks back, after which I suffered from severe pain in the anus, which continued for a week before I consulted the doctor, who prescribed ineffective medicines. My pain reduced gradually as I was on painkillers, but I suffered from a persistent burning sensation in the anus. My stool is soft now, and I have experienced bleeding only twice initially, but the burning sensation is intolerable. What should I do?
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
These are the typical symptoms of anal fissure. It would be helpful to drink plenty of liquids; fluids in your system can make stools softer and easier to pass. Be sure to drink more when the weather gets warmer and become physically active. Try to eat fiber-rich foods like whole grains, fresh vegetables, and fruits to prevent constipation. Boil moong dal in water, add some jaggery to it, and drink the soup on an empty stomach. Also, it would be helpful if you drink coconut milk every day. I have suggested a few ayurvedic medicines to cure this issue for two months.
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
