Can Ashwagandha boost testosterone levels?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 28 years old, weigh 176 pounds, and have a height of 5 feet 7 inches. I regularly go to the gym. Instead of using artificial testosterone or supplements, I recently discovered that Ashwagandha and Shilajit can naturally boost testosterone levels. Is it safe to take 600 mg of each daily? Additionally, if I occasionally drink alcohol socially while taking these supplements, will it negatively affect me or my body? I also take Liv-52 regularly and follow a healthy diet when I am consistent with my gym routine. However, my work involves a lot of travel, so when I can not work out, I skip my vitamins and supplements and resume them when I start working out again. Is this approach acceptable?

Please advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have chosen effective natural remedies for boosting testosterone. We recommend these medicines to enhance natural body strength and immunity, rather than specifically for bodybuilding. You can use them regularly for up to two months. If Ashwagandha is available in powder form, take 0.11 ounces twice a day with warm milk after meals. If it is in tablet or capsule form, take two tablets or capsules twice a day with warm milk after meals.

Shilajit is available in tablet and capsule forms as well. Take one tablet or capsule twice a day with warm milk after meals. Liv-52 Syrup (himsra and kasani) is a blend of several natural herbs with detoxifying and appetite-enhancing properties. You can take two teaspoons of syrup or one tablet twice a day after meals.

During this period, you should avoid smoking and drinking alcohol. Additionally, avoid spicy and fried junk foods. Drink plenty of water about half an hour after eating.

If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to reach out.

Thank you.
