Is there a treatment available for severe artery block?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My brother is 57 years old and diagnosed with 95 % blockage in one artery, and his doctor had suggested a stent. Can Ayurveda treatment cure this?

Please help.

Answered by Dr. Alka

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

95 % blockage is more and cannot be cured with the help of medication, whether Allopathic or Ayurvedic or any other medicine. If a complete blockage occurs, it might further lead to a heart attack due to the hindrance of blood flow. Medicines are given to prevent further blockage because once the blockage occurs, there is a chance that blockage may occur in other arteries. So it is better to go for stenting, and once he is stabilized after all the treatment, then you can take Ayurvedic medicine as a preventive measure to protect the heart from any further problems. I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For more queries, you can consult me.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
