Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My abdomen has been hurting for the past three weeks. Just before that, I had bright red blood in my stool, which often comes and goes every six months or so. I also have a sharp pain in the right hip and a sore under my right rib area. It hurts when I press around the lower abdomen and feels like small lumps. I feel bloated after eating just a little and feel fatigued all the time.
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I just read your query.
All the symptoms you have mentioned here, especially the bright red blood (bright red color is indicative of fresh blood) may be due to an ulcer bleed or bleeding due to some other reason in the digestive tract, or may have some other reason that requires clinical examination. Fatigue, bloating in the abdomen after food, etc., might be the associated symptoms of the main problem. You should consult a nearby gastroenterologist so that he can examine you and if you require an endoscopic examination he can guide you.
From that, you will come to know the exact cause of your problem. Generalized treatment for bleeding in stool and for bloating will give you only temporary relief. But the underlying problem would remain there. So, go for a check-up first, and then you can decide whether you want to take allopathy or Ayurveda treatment according to the condition. If you already performed the required laboratory tests, then do share your reports so that I can tell you the treatment accordingly.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
