Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 24-year-old male, and I had a bleeding leg injury two months back. Five days after the injury, I noticed a swelling in the groin area which is not visible but can only be felt by touching. I am also having lower back pain and hip pain, and thigh pain only when in sitting position and not during walking. I am concerned if this is a serious issue or if it can be subsided by itself. Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

The swelling in your groin area could potentially be related to lymph nodes. Lymph nodes can become enlarged in response to infection or inflammation in the surrounding area. However, it is also possible that the swelling could be related to other factors, such as muscle strain or injury. The lower back pain, hip pain, and thigh pain you are experiencing could be related to various causes, including muscle strain, nerve irritation, or even referred pain from another area. It is difficult to determine the exact cause without a proper medical evaluation.

Kindly consult a specialist like an orthopedic or sports medicine physician to evaluate your symptoms, perform a physical examination, and order any necessary tests to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms. They will be able to provide you with a proper diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment options. It is important not to delay seeking medical attention in situations of ongoing pain and swelling.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
