What could cause cuts in anal region?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have slide cuts at the tops of the anus so I feel pain and a burning sensation when passing excreta. How to cure it? Kindly suggest. I am taking an Aceclo tablet for pain and also suggest any lab tests to be performed.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern. I would suggest the following for relief -

1. Pilex (Lajjalu and Yashad bhasma) herbal ointment to be applied topically at the anus (with the clean applicator) once or twice daily, before and after passing stool, for the next one week.

2. Keep up a healthy, balanced, and anti-inflammatory diet, preferably Mediterranean subject to your local physician's concurrence. Stay well hydrated and have an active lifestyle. Try to avoid constipation by all means lest it injures the anal canal or anus.

3. Restrict flesh foods like chicken, eggs, and red meat as all these are likely to worsen constipation and consequently complicate constipation or fissure issues, if any, still.

4. High-calorie foodstuffs including sweets, cakes, pastries, greasy, oily, hot or spicy, and fast foods are best avoided too.

5. Take a glass of freshly prepared juice made of ripe bael fruit, honey (one tablespoon), black pepper, and cardamom daily evening.

6. Take freshly prepared buttermilk, to which add half a tablespoon of fresh turmeric powder is mixed thoroughly, daily during lunch.

Hope this helps you. Simultaneously, it is advisable that you get yourself clinically examined by a general surgeon too.

Thank you.
