Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 28-year-old female who has been suffering from chronic fissures for the past six months. It was bleeding two months back, but not now. I am only feeling pain when I have non-vegetarian items. Do I need surgery? Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
The main causes of fissures in anus are constipation and passing hard stool. When hard stool passes through the anal canal, it hurts the anal soft tissues. Sometimes, it is healed by medicines, and sometimes surgery is needed. First, you should take Ayurvedic medicines and follow some precautions. Hope it will be cured. Otherwise, it needs anal sphincter dilatation and surgery. I suggest the following.
Try to avoid non-vegetarian foods and spicy and fried junk foods. Drink plenty of water. Avoid cold drinks, soft drinks, ice cream, etc. Eat fibrous foods and fruits, as well as leafy green vegetables. Do regular Yogasana like Suryanamaskara, Kapalbhati, Mandukasana and Ardhamatsyendrasana.
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
