Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am diagnosed with adenomyosis. My uterus size is 647.5 sq in. I do not have a lot of pain when I menstruate, but bleeding is with clots.
When I was 30 years old, I had a polycystic ovary but treated with acupuncture and herbal medicine for a year. After that, I have no more problems with the ovary. I had a pregnancy sixteen years ago, but I had a miscarriage within five months. I could not get pregnant afterward.
Thirteen years ago, I had thyroid cancer and had the surgery with complete removal. Then I was treated with radioactive iodine. I would like to know if there is any treatment by Siddha or Ayurvedic medicine for my case of adenomyosis. I am currently taking a tablet of Levothyroxine 150 mg and supplements for calcium and vitamins.
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
You may follow these medications to get better.
For post-thyroidectomy, you may take thyroxin tablets. For adenomyosis (a gynecologic condition that causes endometrial tissue in the lining of the uterus to grow into the muscular wall of the uterus) and the bulk of the uterus, I also favor surgery, as the surgeon suggested. Because the estrogen or progesterone hormones trigger the uterus to further increase in size, once you attain menopause, most of the problems will get automatically solved as the hormone level gets balanced. Oral contraceptives are also a good suggestion for you. From Siddha/Ayurveda, we have drugs to make the uterus healthier and prevent further worsening of the condition. The size will gradually reduce when the medicines are taken longer.
You start
1. Tablet Lukol (Dhataki, Shatavari, Punarnava) - two in the morning, afternoon, and night after food.
2. Capsule Evecare (Ashoka Tree, Asparagus, Lodh Tree, and Malabar Nut), two tablets in the morning and night after food.
3. Tablet Aloes compound (Kumari, Hirabol, Kambhoji), two in the morning and two at night. Consult your doctor and take the medicines accordingly.
Continue these drugs for the next three months. Stop during the first three bleeding days in each menstrual bleeding. However, the drugs mentioned above are first-level herbal drugs. So kindly follow up after three months. If the pain is worse, you may take an analgesic (NSAIDs).
I hope that you get your answer.
Please let me know if you need any help.
Thank you.

Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I hope you are in good health. I finished the treatment ten days ago.
I underwent an ultrasound of the uterus, and still, it is at 270 cm3. The bleeding improved somewhat after starting treatment. Before, there was also a suspicion of myoma on the ultrasound image, but it no longer appears today. Is there any new therapy that you could suggest?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Please continue the same medicines for three continuous cycles. During the first three menstrual bleeding days, stop all these drugs. Start it again from the fourth day; even the bleeding does not stop. You can include black grams in your diet as they are known to strengthen the uterus muscles. Pomegranate is the best fruit for uterine health. After three cycles, let us check the USG (ultrasound) and decide whether to continue or stop.
I hope that you get your answer.
Please let me know if you need any help.
Thank you.
