Can Ayurvedic medicines limit cancer spread in metastasis?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I was diagnosed with metastatic antropyloric adenocarcinoma that has metastasized to the liver last year. I have undergone 12 cycles of the FOLFOX regimen and, after a gap of about three months, six sessions of the Paclitaxel with Carboplatin regimen. Now, I am on maintenance therapy with Trastuzumab. Could you suggest some good Ayurvedic medicines from standard manufacturers like Kottakal to boost my immunity and, if possible, reduce the spread of malignancy?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Please continue the low-dose chemotherapy and undergo regular checkups. Additionally, following traditional Siddha supplements could be continued to prevent metastasis by improving your immunity.

1. Rasaganthi mezhugu capsule - one capsule morning and one night after food. This is to be taken for three months. Then stop for one month. Again three months. Then one monthly gap. Similarly, this tablet is to be continued. This is to improve your immunity.

2. Poorana Chandrodhayam tablet - one tablet morning and one tablet night after food. This is to be taken for three months. Then stop for one month. Again three months. Then one monthly gap—similarly, this tablet is to be continued. This is to improve immunity and also to extend the longevity. This is the kaayakalpam (Rasayana) tablet.

3. Chithiramoola Kuligai tablet - one tablet at night. consume for five days, give a day gap. Again five days tablets at night and two days gap. This is how it should be continued for many months. This is the low-dose Siddha chemotherapy. If you give a day gap, there are no side effects.

I hope this information helps you, and please reach out if you have any doubts.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is good. Keenly observed for any side effects due to drugs. Since taking so many drugs, we should be alert. Usually, nothing happens.

I hope this helps.
