Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am suffering from gas issues, acidity, bloating, a burning sensation in the stomach, and burping. Also, I was diagnosed with H.pylori infection, erosive gastritis, and fatty liver one year back. Previously I was taking allopathy medicine. But currently, I am taking Liv. 52 DS tablets and Acivin syrup.

Kindly suggest me a solution for my stomach issues.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

From your history, I can understand that you are suffering from acid reflux. It happens when the acid from the stomach moves upwards and causes irritation in the esophagus and the throat. Gas in the stomach and acidity have some connections. Certain factors that contribute to gas also lead to acid reflux. So try to avoid aerated drinks and foods like pulses, potatoes, etc, that cause gas in the digestive tract. Foods that cause gas in one person may create the same issue in another person. So try to find out what triggers gas and acid reflux and try to avoid that.

H. pylori (Helicobacter pylori) is a bacteria that grows in the digestive tract. Sometimes it may cause infection which leads to acidity and other ulcer-related problems. So I suggest you to follow the instructions and include the below-mentioned foods in your diet chart to improve your gut health.

1. Take probiotics like yogurt.

2. Consume green tea.

3. Include honey in your diet.

4. Eat slowly.

5. Avoid spicy foods and aerated drinks.

6. Do not lie down immediately after your meal.

7. Avoid overeating.

8. Maintain a healthy weight.

9. Elevate your head with a pillow while lying to prevent acid reflux.

Kindly follow these instructions for two weeks. Also, I suggest you to take the medications mentioned below along with your current medications.

1. Mix one tablespoon of Drakshadi Kwath (Amla, Lodhra, Mulethi (Yashtimadhu), Ushira) with 2 tablespoons of lukewarm water and have it two times a day before food.

2. Take two teaspoons full of Himcocid (Varatika, Dugdhapashana, Amalaki) after meals and at bedtime.

3. Take 2 teaspoons of Avipattikar Churna (Amla, Bibhitaki, Haritaki) and mix it with Kwath and drink it.

4. Mix one teaspoon of Hinguvachadi Choornam (Pomegranate, Haritaki, Trikatu, Hing)with ghee and take it thrice daily 10 minutes before food.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them and take the medications with their consent.

Kindly follow up after two weeks.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
