Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been experiencing pain in my stomach near the left lung area. I also have frequent gastric issues and occasional constipation. I am currently taking medication for gastric problems, but I am not finding any relief. When I stopped taking the medication for two days, my stool became dark brown to black in color. I had gastric issues in the past, for which I took medication and felt better. A few years ago, I used to take medication for my neurological issues, which resulted in pain and constipation after discontinuing the tablets. I then underwent an endoscopy test and received treatment, which provided relief. Recently, I consumed highly spicy non-vegetarian food for three days, and since that time, I have been experiencing severe pain. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. In my practice, I have encountered many patients who complain about gastric problems, experiencing symptoms such as burning in the stomach, severe pain, and difficulties with eating. It appears that you may be experiencing a similar issue. It is a positive step that you have undergone an endoscopy. If possible, could you please share the results of the endoscopy? Typically, acid reflux or gastric problems can be caused by various factors, including the consumption of spicy foods, excessive intake of non-vegetarian dishes and insufficient vegetables, late-night eating, high levels of family or work-related stress, a habit of becoming excessively irritable over trivial matters, and the use of certain medications such as painkillers.

If you have any of the aforementioned factors, please try to eliminate them as they may help alleviate your symptoms. Homeopathically, there is a wide range of remedies available for this complaint. Nux vomica and Arsenicum album are both excellent and commonly prescribed remedies for such issues. Based on the information you have provided, I suggest trying Nux vomica 30C, taking four pills once a day in the evening for five days. After five days, discontinue the medicine and observe how you feel. If there is some improvement in your symptoms but they are not completely resolved, you may consider trying Nux vomica 200C for another five days. Following this, stop the medicine and assess its impact on your condition. In my practice, I have observed that Nux vomica has been quite effective in addressing such problems. However, to provide homeopathic treatment, I would need a more comprehensive understanding of your overall well-being. This includes your emotional and mental stress levels, as well as any other physical symptoms, which you have not provided in this context.

Hence, try Nux vomica 30C and 200C for the time being. It should help in resolving your problem. After 10 days, kindly let me know how you feel. Please do not continue taking this medicine for an extended period, as excessive use of this remedy can lead to issues. You may continue taking your allopathic medicine alongside this homeopathic remedy.

I would be happy to assist you further. Thank you.
