Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Please provide a remedy for the abdominal pain that began after taking one spoon of Nilavarai powder with milk at night for constipation. The next morning, I experienced loose motions, followed by gas trouble and persistent abdominal pain for the past day. We suspect that the milk and Nilavarai powder may be the cause.
Please suggest a way to relieve the pain. Additionally, I have had a constipation problem for the past three years and take one tablespoon of castor oil when the issue arises.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I suggest you stop taking this combination if you suspect it is causing abdominal pain. For abdominal pain, try drinking a glass of water with half a teaspoon of carom seeds, half a teaspoon of fennel seeds, half a teaspoon of grated ginger, and a few peppermint leaves. Boil this mixture on medium heat until it reduces to half a glass, then drink it to help relieve the pain. You might also find relief by mixing some asafoetida powder with lukewarm water to make a paste and applying it to your abdomen. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss these recommendations with them, and take the medicines only with their consent.
Additionally, follow a light diet while the pain persists. If the pain worsens or if any other problems arise, consult a general physician as soon as possible.
Thank you.
