Is my MRI report showing a normal coronary artery?

Hello doctor,

I am 50 years old and had a cardiac MRI dark blood, bright cone blood, and delayed enhancement images with contrast gadoterate. My doctor tells me this is a great test to rule out coronary artery disease. Only thing is it want stress MRI. He stated the coronary looked good and would predict a good result in the stress if we did one. Do you agree with this? Everything on the test looked great.

How to bring back blood pressure back to normal?

Hello doctor,

I had a blood pressure of 172/115 mm of Hg for around four months, and I consulted a doctor. He prescribed Telma 40 mg, and after taking the medication, my blood pressure was down to 140/110 mm of Hg. However, I am continuing the same medicine, and my blood pressure values are not within the normal range. What should I do? Is there any need to change the medication? Thank you.

What causes chest tightness and burning sensation?

Hello doctor,

I was recently at the hospital for chest pain and took an ECG twice and other tests (including CT scan, blood tests, D-dimer test, heart rate, and measure blood oxygen) but they could not find anything wrong. Yet it hurts to breathe and feels like my heart is pounding causing my upper back to hurt, it feels as if my chest is being squeezed, and sometimes I have a burning feeling. So they suggested Ibuprofen and Pepcid for the pain. I am currently on inhaler, birth control pills, vitamin D tablets and Singulair.

Is it safe to take Xanax for white-coat hypertension?

Hello doctor,

I am a 71-year-old female. I have white coat hypertension. I have had this all my life. I have been to numerous psychologists and therapists. I am in good health and take 1 mg of Synthroid daily. When I go to the doctor's office my BP goes sky high. At home, it is around 120/70. I went to the doctor last Monday. Just before leaving for the appointment at home it was 140/80 mmHg. At the appointment, it was 180/90 mmHg, and the pulse was 123 beats per minute. I got home an hour later. It was 120/75 mmHg again. I have a great fear of high BP since I was a child. At my last appoinment, I took Xanax 37.5. It is the first time ever I have taken any meds like that hoping that would calm me down. I guess it did not work. I am so worried that that high number will kill me. I am so tired of worrying about it.

How can the catheter ablation procedure be checked?

Hi doctor,

Approximately 15 years ago I underwent a catheter ablation procedure to fix an irregular heartbeat. It was cured. My question is that can a cardiologist, who did not do the ablation, see exactly what was done without seeing a report of the procedure? I am currently taking Symbicort 200.
