Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a systemic worm infection, and after trying many forms of treatment, I now would like to know what Unani has to offer. I want the remedies to be natural and safe. A microbiologist detected Strongyloides stercoralis in my blood (therefore on the skin, brain, and other organs), but the drugs he gave had no benefit. The infection is chronic and almost lifelong. Bacteria and biofilm are also involved. Based on your knowledge, please suggest the most beneficial natural treatment for my condition. Also, some natural medicine that will enter the bloodstream to kill these worms, harmful bacteria they carry, biofilm they hide in, remove toxins they produce, balance the immune system, and eradicate inflammation throughout the body. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. You can get rid of your worms. First, I would suggest detoxification of your blood by:

1) Start with an enema (prefer neem enema) under proper guidance.

2) Be fasting for atleast 15 days to cleanse your body.

3) Avoid eating maida, sugar, and white rice.

4) Drink plenty of water.

5) Do yoga like Vajrasana, Vakrasana, Ustrasana, Padahastasana, Surya namaskar daily.

6) Practice Pranayama.

7) Do Om chanting for 20 minutes daily.

8) Try to make a capsule or powder of neem, jeera, pepper, and a little turmeric and have it on an empty stomach.

9) Eat ten fresh neem leaves on an empty stomach daily.

10) Avoid non-vegetarian foods.

11) If you have a habit of alcohol smoking, quit these habits.

12) Wear slippers or shoes when you step out of your place.

13) Clean your legs and hands before entering the home, having food, and before bed.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

I have done most of the things you have mentioned, but they never helped. I have done dieting (fasting, excluding sugars, oily foods, etc.), regular washing with coconut oil cleansing bars, taking on empty stomach turmeric, pippali, and neem, drinking plenty of water, trying to avoid scratching. I do everything apart from yoga and enema. I try to keep positive. You state that detoxification of the blood is what I should focus on; I can understand that. Could you mention the most useful ready-made products and formulas for Strongyloides disseminated throughout the body? I have Strongyloides in the blood (countless blood tests were done by the infection expert, showing specific antibodies for Strongyloides and a raised eosinophil count). The drugs Albendazole and Ivermectin had zero benefits. But neither did western herbs (wormwood, walnut, cloves), Chinese TCM herbs prescribed after consultation, suggestions by many ayurveda experts; none of the formulas recommended have helped. I cannot think of much else. I remain hopeful. Please suggest any natural products for me (preferably ready-made, which would be easier than buying every item separately and encapsulating extra things at home). Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Your body needs some time to heal on its own. You have to be strong, positive, and be patient for some time. I would suggest the following:

1) Try taking neem enema.

2) Take a steam bath as it removes toxins from your body.

3) Stand in the sun.

4) Take papaya seeds three to seven. It will kill the parasite.

It takes some time to cure, but fasting will undoubtedly help. I will explain to you the mechanism of fasting. As it is a worm, it needs food to grow and multiply. If you are fasting, the worms will starve and die and do not multiply. Slowly move on to an eliminative diet like lemon water, buttermilk, tender coconut water, etc. Eat fruits and raw salad. Avoid cooked foods, oil, and refined products.

Be in naturopathy fasting for 15 days. First day only with water fast. Two to four days with eliminative juice fast. Then one week with fruit fasting followed by millet rice, kanji, and salad. Avoid white rice, pasta, maida products.
