Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have itching, rashes, and unbearable pain around the inner thigh, vulva, and vaginal area. I have pets at my home who recently suffered from itching problems. Since then it started and is getting worse.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The most likely cause to have itching and rash in that region is Tinea (fungal rash). Now to confirm kindly share the pictures of the affected areas Are you pregnant or breastfeeding? Do you have any drug allergies? Do you have any other health issues? If none then for itching you can start an antihistamine such as Levocetrizine, Bilashine, Fexofenadine, etc. If you have a mild fungal infection, you can start on an antifungal cream but for moderate to severe infection you will need an oral antifungal. Other possible causes are sweat dermatitis and scabies.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am not pregnant or breastfeeding. I do not have any drug allergies. I do not have any other health issues. I only have itching that is sometimes painful. My pets have developed itching maybe through that I got this.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I suggest you take a tablet of Terbinafine 250 mg morning and evening, after food for two weeks. For itching, take a tablet of Bilashine (Bilastine) 20 mg (SOS) one hour before food. You can take a maximum of three tablets in 24 hours. Use C win cream (Ciclopirox) morning and evening. Continue till it is 100 % cleared.

Review in two weeks with pictures. For fungal infection follow these tips-

  1. Keep the area clean and dry.
  2. Keep your body dry.
  3. Bath twice daily.
  4. Dry body properly after bath.
  5. Change clothes daily.
  6. Use a separate towel and soap.
  7. After bathing dry your body nicely, then apply the cream; then apply powder (any powder) generously over the area. It helps to keep it dry.
  8. Do not touch the area and touch others or any other part of your body. It can spread like that by your hand.
  9. Always wash your hands if you touch the area.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
