Hi doctor,

I am having difficulty pulling back my foreskin. I have always had this, but I am embarrassed to go to the doctor. Is there anything I can do to resolve this at home?

Hello doctor,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The problem of tight foreskin medically is known as phimosis. In phimosis, the patients feel a variety of symptoms. Sometimes a person may find it hard to urinate due to the tight foreskin and may usually suffer from urinary tract infections. On the other hand, some people do not have any problems while urinating, but they may find difficulty during intercourse. They cannot enjoy their sexual activity as much as they want due to the tight foreskin. So, you have to find out the intensity of the problem that you are going through. If your foreskin is not troubling your urination or if you only feel mild to moderate difficulty, then I would suggest you can use sesame oil. If you do not find sesame oil, you can also use coconut oil.

Massaging your foreskin with Use sesame oil or coconut oil for massaging your foreskin and try to retract it. Do it with moderate strength. Do not do with excessive force or pressure .You can do this activity twice a day. For some time, you may find it a little painful due to a tight foreskin, but gradually your skin will start loosening. You have to do it regularly, and you can see the change within a month. You must visit a nearby general surgeon if you do not feel any better results. If the foreskin is excessively tight, massage or anything else would not help you. All you need is a surgical visit.

Surgical method (circumcision):

The surgeon will do a mild procedure known as circumcision. This procedure will cut your excessive tight foreskin in one visit and it is a daycare procedure and completely safe. It will not interfere with your urination or with your sexual activity. I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Hello doctor,

Thanks for your response. I am not sure whether it is mild or not. I do not know if the skin at the top is preventing me from retracting or the ring around it. It is really hard to describe correctly. Would you be able to tell with a photo? Can I take one with my underwear on, or do I have to take it off so you can see the whole area? I am a bit worried about sending photos, as you can understand.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern regarding sending pictures. However, the privacy of the patient is maintained. But you can visit a nearby general surgeon, which is also a better option. Because he will do the complete clinical examination, and it will solve many of your queries. You will also get answers to many of your doubts. So do not feel hesitant or shy because it is a very common problem that many people face.

I hope you understand my point.

Thank you.

Hello doctor,

I understand your point, doctor, but the only problem is that I would not be able to talk about this problem if I visited a doctor. I need to know if it is mild and confirm the problem because I can pull back my foreskin fully when I am not erect and clean during the shower even though it is quite sensitive to touch. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I cannot say surely anything without seeing. But if you can retract the foreskin when your penis is not erected and you do not have any problem during urination then you can use this oil remedy for one month and lookout for results. In future whenever you will indulge in any kind of physical intimacy then if you feel any issues you should visit a physician. Because the only matter of concern with this problem can be difficulty in urination or problem during intercourse. I hope it helps.

Thank you.

Hello doctor,

I have attached a photo as requested. Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The picture (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) only shows some parts, which seems fine. So I guess you have mild phimosis, according to this picture.

Thank you.

Hello doctor,

I am attaching more pictures for your reference. Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, the pictures (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) are fine. Your skin is retracting normally. From these pictures, I can conclude you do not have phimosis.

Thank you.

Hello doctor,

This picture is taken when I was not erect and could pull back my foreskin.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

From the pictures, (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) I can conclude that there might be a little bit of tightening of the skin. Therefore, you can try this oil remedy for a while. But do not do it forcefully and for a longer duration.

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the suggestions.

Stay safe and healthy. I hope my suggestions will help.

Thank you.

Hello doctor,

Just one more thing I want to check. This is also how it looks when I have a erection and cannot pull back my foreskin. I have removed my underwear so you can clearly see and check everything. Do you think the oil will work for this condition? Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I can conclude from the pictures (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) that it might be tightening of the skin. As I mentioned earlier, the main concerns with phimosis are either difficulty in urination, or you may face problems during intercourse. So you cannot notice this in the future. Sometimes massaging with oil regularly for some time may help you. Massage with the oil for five to ten minutes in the morning and after half an hour, take a bath with lukewarm water. It might help you.

Thank you.

Hello doctor,

I will try the oil as you suggest. Can the pictures be deleted? Just worried about it.
