Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am trying to gain weight for the past six years. I have tried many types of steroids like Ayurveda tablets, allopathy capsules, some mass gainers, weight gainers, etc., but they did not show any results. Once, I gained 6.5 to 11 Ibs. But, when I left the supplements, I lost my weight. My efforts for gaining weight are still going on. I have tried many brands of mass gainers, protein powders, and capsules. My local doctor suggested medicines, but they never work properly. Also, the various products injured my metabolic system. Today, my condition is like this, I never feel my stomach sounds poorly all the time. I am very upset about my health. I had a lot of medicine and checkup. But, I am not healthy right now. What to do now?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query.

I do not know why you are so obsessed about weight gain in the past because right now your BMI(body mass index) is 24.54, which is normal. First of all, just leave the past behind. Do not carry the burden of your past in your present. Just focus on your current problem and try to solve it. You are young, and you have a long way ahead. Stop being so anxious, because anxiety and stress lead to excessive acid production and will also contribute to your current problem. Anxiety and stress result in excessive acid production and will also add to your ongoing problem. Anxiety leads to indigestion, which may further result in an upset digestive system. Start doing meditation and yoga. This will help you to calm your mind and yoga will contribute to maintaining the health of your digestive system.

I suggest syrup Zandu Pancharishta (Trijat, Arjuna, Sveta) two teaspoons twice a day after a meal for four weeks. This would help to correct your digestion and Syrup Liv 52 (Himsra, Kasani, Kakamachi) (Himalaya) two teaspoons twice a day with water for four weeks. This will help you to make the hepatic system healthier and will eventually contribute good digestive system. In the early morning, drink one or two glasses of lukewarm water. After some days, you will start feeling that your bowel habit is becoming normal. Make a pattern of sleeping like sleeping in a particular time every day and waking up on a particular time. This will make your bowel normal after some time. Sleep adequately at least for 6 to 8 hours and do not sleep too late in the night. It also affects the digestive system. If you smoke and drink, then quit smoking and drinking because this will make your problem worse. Avoid fast food, deep-fried food, pickle, and curd. Instead of curd, you can take buttermilk. Go for a healthy diet. Take fresh fruits, vegetables, etc. Eat your food on time. Do not skip breakfast or any meal. Instead of having three heavy meals you can opt out for five small meals. This will help you in easy digestion. Go for a walk daily at least for 30 minutes. If you feel very anxious about your current health status, then you can go for a counseling session. This will help you to calm your mind. Try all these regularly, and you will soon see positive results.

The Probable causes
