Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Actually, from this morning only, I had severe pain in my lower part of my stomach, and it was been gone within like 15 minutes, but after that, the whole day it felt like bloating or mild pain. What should I do? Well, I had a major stone operation in the past one and a half months, after the doctor had advised me not to eat anything that would cause me to feel bloated. But I only had lentils and bread the previous night. What could be the cause?
Kindly suggest.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thanks for sharing these details. Here is what I would suggest:
Since the pain was brief but followed by bloating and mild discomfort the rest of the day, it might just be due to indigestion or gas, especially if you had only mild food like dal and roti.
What you can do right now:
Drink warm water throughout the day.
Try a gentle walk after meals to ease digestion.
Use a warm compress on your lower abdomen for relief if needed.
Avoid very spicy, oily, or gassy foods for a day or two.
However, watch out for these symptoms — if they occur, you should see a doctor quickly:
Severe pain returning or worsening.
Nausea or vomiting.
Fever.
Painful or difficult urination (especially because of your history of a kidney stone operation).
Blood in urine or stools.
Because you had a major stone operation recently, keep an eye on your hydration and any signs of urinary issues, as stones can sometimes recur or cause complications. If things do not settle down in a day or two, or you get any of the red flag symptoms, do not hesitate to see your doctor in person for a quick check-up and possible ultrasound.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
