Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am taking several women health tonics and supplements. I am four weeks pregnant and am in my forties. I have five children. I have had two miscarriages. My question is should I be weaning off some of these tonics and how can I do this without causing a drop in my hormones and causing a miscarriage. My hCG levels are always low. I also take one olive leaf at night. Is there anything I can take to minimize the risk of miscarriage.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

I appreciate you seeking help. In fact, most of the medications that you have mentioned in your query, seem to be poly herbal formulations. Contextually, given to understand your history of miscarriages earlier, I would advise you to not take any chances and promptly discuss all your concerns in detail with a specialist doctor and get explicit permission from your doctor before trying out any natural medications at this juncture. I trust that your doctor will assess and best recommend the needful medications, diet, and lifestyle to support your pregnancy safely and minimize risks, if any, of miscarriage.

Hope this clarifies.

Do take care, and I wish you all the very best.

Thanks and regards.
