Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have had pain in my penis and a discharge that looks like sperm for the past two weeks. I am scared.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
If you are experiencing penile discharge that looks like semen (whitish or cloudy), and it is coming out without sexual stimulation (like spontaneous “dripping”), it could be due to a few possible reasons, including -
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), such as gonorrhea or chlamydia, can cause urethritis (inflammation of the urethra), which can present as penile discharge and discomfort.
Prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate), especially if you also have pelvic pain, pain during urination, or discomfort.
Non-infectious urethritis (sometimes linked to irritation or injury).
Here is what you should do -
Seek medical care. It is important to see a doctor soon to check for infection (you might need urine tests, swab tests, or blood tests).
Avoid sexual activity until you get tested to avoid spreading any possible infection.
If you have a fever, chills, or severe pain, go to urgent care promptly.
Meanwhile, you can do the following -
Drink plenty of water.
Avoid any irritants (for example, harsh soaps, lubricants).
Note any other symptoms: burning when you urinate, frequency of urination, fever, pain in your lower abdomen or back.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and take care.
Regards.
