Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

How can I naturally get rid of molluscum contagiosum? Are there any products, herbs, oils, etc., that I can use or ingest to help it heal? How long will it last? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query. See, molluscum contagiosum is a viral infection, and if it is not spreading, then you do not require treatment. It is self-limiting and will stop on its own. If the lesions are spreading very fast, then you may require contemporary treatment like cryotherapy or laser. If you only have some lesions, you can follow this management:

  1. Take tea tree oil and dab it over the bumps two times a day with cotton.
  2. Take coconut oil and apply it over the affected area two times a day.
  3. Take some neem leaves and boil them in water. Use this water while bathing.

Try all these things regularly, and you will get better results. In case of any problem, you should visit a nearby skin specialist.

I hope this helps.

Please revert so I can assist you further.

Thank you.
