Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I would like to tell you my problem and seek a solution from you. I do not have a peace of mind. When I go to college, I am completely fine. When I am alone or get back home some or other matter irritates me continuously. In spite of my knowing that it is not good to keep it in mind, I still do. I cannot take it out of my mind. I am a skinny girl that makes me feel bad when others talk about it and when I see others are good-looking. Not that I am jealous of them, but I want to be normal. I was and am in a relationship where now the guy says this is not a serious one, he is busy all the time. I expect him to give me time at least once a week which he cannot do as he was saying he is busy for two months. A lot of stuff that he has told me reminds me I cannot have a fresh start. Overall, I am depressed. When I am with friends, I am completely unfocused and I spend time on social media. I cry too and want it to stop as it disturbs me. I cannot study and I do not show it to others, but I am highly disturbed inside. I want to be normal without any expectations. I do not want to depend on anything, and I do not want to feel like I need someone whatsoever. How can I cool down?

Thank you.

Hello,Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.First of all, remember that you do not have control over situations and what others do but only how you cope with it.

Certain things that can help are given below:

  1. Practicing meditation daily for at least half an hour in the morning helps.

  2. Share your feelings with family or close friends as sharing helps a lot.

  3. Maintain a journal and daily log down thoughts that distress you then think of alternates and logically counter negative thoughts.

  4. Give at least one hour daily for your hobbies.

  5. Exercise regularly and take a balanced diet.

If these methods do not help, consult a psychiatrist. Remember every problem has a solution you just need to try solving it and help is just a step away.

I hope I have solved your query. Feel free to write to icliniq.com, if you have any further queries.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
