Lower Abdominal Pain

Pain located below the belly button is called lower abdominal pain. Various causes, such as constipation, fatty meal, stress, intolerance to certain foods, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), intestinal obstruction, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), appendicitis, hernia, etc., can all result in lower abdominal pain. Menstruation, ovarian cysts, pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) are some conditions that can result in lower abdominal pain in females.
