Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I got Kalarchikai chooranam for irregular periods. I have to take with pepper powder or with honey. I am planning to take by my own. Is it suitable for all body type?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Kalarchikai is a herb to manage PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease). Its botanical name is Caesalpinia bonducela. Its seed is used for medicinal purposes. You can prepare at home by Kalachikai seeds or churnam.

Investigations to be done

Before starting medicine once you should check out your USG abdomen to rule out PCOD and thyroid profile to rule out hypothyroidism.

Treatment plan

Take 0.11 oz of Kalarchikai choornam twice a day after meals with warm water. You can also take it as ayurvedic preparations available like Kokilakshakam kashayam or Vati.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
