Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have been trying to conceive since a year now. I had a D and C last year. I think the low egg quality is the problem. These are my reports.
Transvaginal sonography of the pelvis was done.
Uterus measured 7.1 X 3.1 X 3.6 cm.
Normal-appearing uterus with homogeneous myometrial echoes.
There is a seedling myoma of size 3.9 x 3.5 mm noted in upper segment posterior region.
There is a small intramural myoma of size 11 x 9.9 x 7 mm noted in the posterior upper segment.
There is an intramural myoma of size 7 x 5.6 x 3.9 mm noted in the upper segment right lateral.
Endometrial thickness measured 4.0 mm.
The endometrial cavity appeared normal for the phase of the cycle, however reassessment on the day.
8 to 10 (triple layered endometrium) is advised to rule out endometrial pathology if clinically indicated.
Right ovary measured 3.0 X 1.9 X 2.6 cm (Volume = 7.71 сс).
Left ovary measured 3.6 X 1.4 X 2.7 cm (Volume = 7.08 сc).
Both ovaries show polycystic changes with multiple small follicles arranged at the periphery.
The central stroma appeared echogenic, thick, and vascular.
Right ovarian AFC:9 to 11in number, largest measures approx 6.7 x 5.4 mm.
Left ovarian AFC:10 to 11 in number largest measures approx 7.3 × 4.7 mm.
Right, adnexa appeared normal.
Left adnexa appeared normal.
No free fluid is noted in the pelvis.
Impression: Small uterine myomas and polycystic ovarian morphology.
Please help me.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
I have read your query and am sorry for such discomfort. In your transvaginal sonography report, there are polycystic ovarian changes that can cause hormonal imbalance and irregular periods, affecting normal fertility.
It is essential for you to first visit a nearby obstetrician and gynecologist for the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and then further treatment for it.
The treatment of PCOS includes lifestyle changes, weight reduction, and specific medication to regulate your period.
I would request you to visit the concerned doctor in your area for the present clinical problem, as the doctor may order further tests to diagnose it and start oral medication for the diagnosis of the present clinical condition.
Feel free to follow up with any further questions or concerns.
Thank you.
