Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Have you been gaining weight also?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have not gained any weight.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I need further details. Are you sexually active, is there a chance of pregnancy? Are you getting excessive hair growth on your body? Are you getting acne/pimples? If not, then you need to get two things done to rule out PCOD (polycystic ovary disease)and thyroid disorder, USG (ultrasound) and TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone). Until the lockdown ends, you do not need to worry. Start exercising and also reduce sugar from your diet. Add salads to your diet as well. These are all preventive measures for PCOD. Also, I hope that there is no kind of stress that you have been having. Since stress can really mess up your hormones listen to music or do yoga or watch your favorite tv shows to cut down on stress and very important do exercise.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I had sex with my partner six months ago, once only. And what if I gain weight?

Answered by Dr. Naazbir Kaur

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Gaining weight and problems in your periods indicate PCOD, thyroid disorders, and stress disorder. Very other rare causes also like tuberculosis, repeated abortions, excessive exercise or anorexia nervosa (excessive weight loss), or certain anabolic drug intake. Until then do all the measures that I have told you. To get your periods, take the following medicines mentioned in the prescription and you will get your periods. Contact if your next cycle is abnormal, which I wish will be totally fine.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Is there any chance to get pregnant after having periods?

Answered by Dr. Naazbir Kaur

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

In your case, since you have had so many cycles, after intercourse, though they were irregular, chances of pregnancy are not there. Otherwise getting one or two periods after getting pregnant does occur rarely and those periods are a little less in amount compared to normal periods. I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
