Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
The last six months I am having rectal burning and hot air from the nose. I have visited many hospitals and all doctors checked the rectum area by putting their fingers and told fissure. I have taken many antibiotics and no results. Last time I checked my blood test and found H-pylori positive. I took many tablets. Again I checked that disease and did not find in the stomach. Please guide me for burning rectal area.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I appreciate you seeking help. I would recommend the following for relief. Pilex ointment to be applied topically at the anus (with the clean applicator) 1 to 2 times daily, before and after passing stool, for the next one week. Keep up a healthy, balanced and anti-inflammatory diet, preferably Mediterranean one comprising mostly of fresh leafy greens and seasonal fruits. Include broccoli sprouts in your diet on a daily basis. Stay well hydrated and have an active lifestyle. Recommend aerobic exercises, walking is the safest, for at least 30 minutes daily. Restrict foods that worsen your constipation, if any, and consequently complicate fissure issues still. Try to avoid constipation by all means lest it injures the anal canal or anus. High-calorie foodstuff including sweets, cakes, pastries, greasy, oily, hot, spicy and fast foods are best avoided too. Take a glass of freshly prepared juice made of ripe bael fruit, honey (one tablespoon), black pepper, cardamom, etc., all, daily evening. Take freshly prepared buttermilk, to which 1/2 teaspoon fresh turmeric powder is mixed thoroughly, daily during lunch. A glass of non-sweetened and pure cranberry juice, once daily.
