How to treat recurrent bacterial vaginosis or cervicitis?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had chronic BV since the birth of my second child seven years back. At times it turns to cervicitis, and right now, I had BV after my menstrual cycle, which turned to cervicitis. Throughout these ten months, I have used Diflucan, Flagyl orally, and vaginally Metrogel, which I can no longer use due to adverse reactions. I also cannot use Clindamycin due to a history of Clostridium difficile infection. My naturopath, on examination with a hand scan, says I have Candida overgrowth, leaky gut, adrenal fatigue, and goiter. My gynecologist says I always test positive for Gardenella in a PAP smear, but I do not know if this constant BV is Candida overgrowth. Either way, I need medication that destroys its biofilm and treats cervicitis. My naturopath gave me berberine, magnesium citrate, and pomegranate because I also see floaters in my eyes. He said that would help, and some bioactive natural drops called BAC, Mammaryplex, and adrenal support blend by Vitanica. Last month I was on Gynetox and FNG. I took floramyces (saccharomyces boulardii) magnesium blend for hair, skin, and nails. Any suggestions? I need help with reoccurring BV or Cervicitis.

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and can understand your concern.

For your recurrent BV (bacterial vaginosis) or Cervicitis. I would recommend the following for relief:

  1. Garlic Extract 250 mg, one tablet orally daily, after lunch, for 30 days.

  2. V-Gel (herbal formula) must be applied intra-vaginally, with the applicator, for one to two weeks or until the symptoms lessen.

  3. Haridra 400 mg, one tablet orally daily, after dinner, for 30 days.

  4. Stay well hydrated.

  5. Keep your diet or lifestyle streamlined and maintain cleanliness or hygiene.

Consult a specialist doctor and take these medications with their consent.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
