Eight-month absence of periods. Blood disorder-related?

Hello doctor,

I am a 19-year-old female. I am always fatigued. I have not got my periods for around eight months now. I went to my gynecologist and done a lot of blood tests. She also gave me Provera to trigger my period but still, I did not get it. Several blood test results were abnormal. I have a history of blood clots in the family (DVT, PE, Death). The blood tests showed I have multiple thrombophilias (AT III deficiency, antiphospholipid AB+, low protein S, and lupus anticoagulant). My lab numbers were either extremely low or high. Is it normal for someone to have four blood disorders? What is the treatment for this? Should I be concerned? Also, would this cause me not to have periods? Would it cause extreme fatigue?

Dark brown discharge after two weeks of Plan B pills. Why?

Hello doctor,

I have a question about my menstrural cycle. Two to three weeks ago I took a few Plan B pills throughout two weeks. I was supposed to get my period around 15th and it came only two days ago, but it is a dark brown discharge. I took several home tests and they are all negative. I was wondering why is my discharge is in this color? There is no blood just brown discharge. Am I pregnant?

Safe dosage of Nurokind-LC for pregnant wife's leg cramps?

Hello doctor,

My wife is 35 weeks pregnant. She is currently taking iron tablets twice a day (three weeks back she did Hb test, and it was 9 g/dL) and calcium tablets. She has occasional leg cramps, especially when waking up. Last week her gynecologist prescribed her Nurokind-LC twice a day for two weeks (she said leg cramps can occur during labor). As Nurokind-LC is class C, is it safe to take it in this dose? Can we take a reduced dose (one tablet for one week)? Please advise.

Can bleeding only for two days affect a woman’s fertility?

Hi doctor

I am 26 years old. My concern is about my periods. Over the last one year, I am having bleeding only for two days on average when compared to three, four and five days in my early age. I request you to please suggest me if this is fine for my age or something is not good for conceiving a baby in future. We have decided to plan baby by next year.

Is spotting for the first time a sign of pregnancy?

Hi doctor,

I am on the pill Lo Loestrin, but I have not been consistently taking it. My last period was on the 25th of last month and my average cycle is around 28 days. My husband and I had unprotected sex on 5th and 6th. I noticed some dark brown discharge on my underwear. When I wiped, it was mixed dark brown and red strands of blood. It has been more than 24 hours and very light when I wipe. I also have been experiencing soreness and light cramps as I would feel in the beginning of my period. However, the discomfort in my abdomen is located on one side and it comes and goes. I have soreness in my legs, lower back and breasts. I also have been experiencing some aching sensation in my vagina. I have also experienced sudden feelings of nausea, but it has not lasted very long. When I began spotting, I was very surprised. I have never spotted between periods before. I am not sure if this is because I have missed taking my pills or if it is implantation bleeding. I have been driving myself crazy by thinking that I could actually be pregnant. The thought of having a baby makes me so excited. But, I do not want to get my hopes up. Please clarify.
