Does many enlarged lymph nodes with EBV indicate lymphoma?

Hello doctor,

Needle core biopsy of 0.59 inch lymph node in the abdomen at porta hepatis. Numerous small and large nodes are present. Flow cytometry shows peripheral blood contaminated specimen, lymphocytes population is 97 % of total leukocytes and consists of T-cells helper and suppressor immunoph and poly B cells, not suggestive for B cell lymphoproliferative neoplasm. Immuno outcomes: CD3, CD5, CD43 many positive T-cells. CD20, CD79A many positive B cells. CD23, Bcl-2 some positive. Cyclin D1: rare positive only CD10 negative. Diagnosis: negative for malignancy. Question: I have a history of sibling lymphoma and I have the epstein barr virus. Should they consider mantle cell lymphoma? Needle core biopsy through endoscope may not be definitive. Excisional would have been better. Lymphoma symptoms are present. Primary biliary cholangitis was also diagnosed before five years. Lymphocytic colitis and erosions in the stomach are also found. Should I ask for more testing for lymphoma?

What is the treatment for blood clots in the back?

Hello doctor,

My 28-year-old son, has JME epilepsy, mostly under control and also 1 part Leiden Factor V. He had an accident last year. Broke a few neck bones (Hangman's bone) and broke a few backbones, high up nearer the neck. Son is doing pretty well, and he is walking. He has a total blockage on one side of his vertebral artery. Recently he had a scan and has several, many blood clots in his back. Do clots ever go away? Other than low dose Aspirin, what to do?

Is a tetanus shot necessary for a minor dog scratch?

Hello doctor,

Two days ago, I was playing with my dog and unintentionally, he scratched my hand with his teeth. Nothing serious, the wound is about a third of an inch in size and it just scratched the upper layer of my skin, and it was bleeding a little bit. I immediately washed it with water and soap and then cleaned it with alcohol. It is now almost completely healed. I am wondering if I may have contracted tetanus from my dog's saliva. I am 18 years old and I got my tetanus vaccination when I was 12. Should I go for a tetanus shot or is it unlikely that I contracted the bacterium?
