Can biotin intake cause excessive tears in the eyes?

Hello doctor,

For the past 17 years of my life, I had perfect eyes. I had a slight sinus allergy but nothing else. During high school I took a 500 mg Biotin pill in hopes to stimulate hair growth and the next day my eyes began to tear excessively. The following day my right eye stopped but my left eye continued. It has been almost two and a half years now and my left eye waters excessively to the point people think I am crying. This ordeal is really depressing. Especially, since I have been to four eye specialists and they are not able to help me. One said I had dry eyes, other said I had blocked tear duct, and other said I do not blink. I am currently on Restasis and still no improvement. Please help. This may sound foolish but could it have been the pill? If so is there something I can do or take to reverse it?

Please suggest some solution for pus covering left lashes of my 2 months old daughter's eye.

Hi doctor,

My daughter is two months old. When she was about two weeks old, her left eye looked more swollen than the other. I consulted with a general practitioner, and he said it might have been that she sleeps more on that side, which is why that eye appears swollen. However, when she was four weeks old, one night, when I woke up to feed her, I noticed some pus covered over the lashes of that same eye. I consulted the same friend, and he prescribed tetracycline antibiotic ointment. After using it for a few days, the redness from underneath her eyelid went away, and I never experienced the pus coming from her eye again. But her left eyelids still look swollen, as if someone punched her on it. Please help.

Why did my mother's right eye, who suffers from diabetic retinopathy, worsen after laser treatment?

Hello doctor,

My mother is suffering from diabetic retinopathy. She recently had a laser-treatment for her eyes when she had blurry vision. After laser treatment, her left eye is fine, but her right eye condition worsened. She recently had surgery about a week ago. When she went again, they suggested a vitrectomy for her left eye, which is completely fine, but they did not say anything about her right eye. I am attaching the reports she got from the doctor for reference. Please suggest to us if there is any way to treat her blurry vision in the right eye and the next steps for us. I am confused about why they suggested a vitrectomy for the left eye when she has no vision issues, but her right eye was blurry, and they did not say anything about it. Can you please let us know if there is any way she can regain vision in her right eye?
