Why do I have discomfort in my throat after TNE?
Hello doctor,
I have discomfort in my throat after doing my TNE (transnasal esophagoscopy) about 20 days ago. I have stopped smoking some eight days ago and have been taking medicines for infection, like anti-allergics and antibiotics. The pain in the neck area is not going.
I have had two appointments since then with the doctor. On my second visit, after my transnasal endoscopy, the doctor told me that it was an infection, and he kept me on anti-allergic medicine. But after three weeks, the discomfort was on and off. On my third visit, the doctor told me that the discomfort was due to withdrawal symptoms of smoking, but I had not quit smoking. I had only reduced the amount from 15 to 16 to five. Now, it has been almost six days since I stopped smoking, but the pain has intensified, and it is affecting my daily activities. Will you please help me find the cause of this discomfort? It was not there initially, and it started after TNE. I am suffering from epididymitis and have been on nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for the last three months and some vitamins as well.

How can one get rid of persistent stuffiness of the nose?

I have been suffering from constant stuffiness in my nose. My age is 31 and I have never experienced this issue before. I have tried using nasal drops and inhalers, but nothing seems to provide lasting relief. I recently read about nasal irrigation and how it might help with a stuffy nose. How to treat the pain in the temple region?
Hi doctor,
I have been struggling with this for almost three years. However, I am encouraged that the vast majority of symptoms are gone. I no longer have pain, pressure, congestion, post nasal drip, and cough. I am still struggling with my sense of smell. However, it has been improving intermittently over the past few days to maybe 80 %. Then, it weakens again. I have attached a picture to help. I have a question, though. Sometimes when I wake up, I experience pain in the temples but no pain in the face. Could this be sinuses? Another ENT told me it is likely a tension headache from teeth grinding. It disappears after I get up. Also, after a nasal rinse last night, I experienced mild pressure at the top of the head, which lasted 15 minutes. Could this be sinus related? Except for the smell and that, I feel perfect.
